| We,
of the Christian Marriage Ministry, affirm our belief in the following:
We believe in the triune God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit. Three persons in one divine being.
God, the
Father, who is the creator of all things. (1 Cor. 8:6)
Jesus Christ,
the Son. He became God in human form through His miraculous
conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is perfect
deity and true humanity in one Person. (Luke 1:30-35)
Jesus lived
a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of humanity
by dying on the cross as our substitute, accomplishing salvation
for all who trust in Him alone. (2 Cor. 5:21)
Jesus rose
from the dead on the third day after His death on the cross,
thus confirming for all time the fact that He is the spotless
Lamb of God, the one and only Son of the Living God. (John 20:8-9)
Jesus ascended
bodily into heaven. He will come again to the earth - personally,
visibly, and bodily - to consummate history and the eternal
plan of God. (Acts 1:9)
A person's
salvation is wholly a work of God's free grace and has absolutely
nothing to do with any personal goodness or righteousness or
religious ceremony. God bestows His righteousness to those who
put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby
justifies them in His sight. At the very moment a person trusts
Christ - believing in Him- as their personal Savior, they experience
"salvation", or the "new birth". This is
when a person becomes a true Christian. (John 14:6)
The Holy
Spirit. The third person of the blessed Trinity, though omnipresent
from all eternity, indwells every believer since the day of
Pentecost, and by His baptism unites all Christ's own into one
body. He is the source of all power and all acceptable worship
and service. (John 14:16-17)
The Holy
Bible is the Word of God given to man by inspiration of the
Holy Spirit. We further believe that the Bible was designed
for our practical instruction. (2 Tim 3:16)
We believe
that Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout
the world and to make disciples of all nations, teaching them
to observe all things which He has commanded us. (Matt 28:19)
